Glock 17 Gen 5 Trigger - We have developed two Competition/Range Gen5 trigger kits for the Glock Gen5: Level 1 and Basic (see Basic Trigger Kits). The Level 1 Trigger Kit uses the previous generation frame/receiver trigger (NOT the push type trigger spring found on the Glock Gen5). This trigger group provides a smoother, lighter, cleaner break and shorter reset, allowing the trigger guard to function properly when using lighter firing pin springs.
Level 1 Actuation Kit, 2 lb. using a premium RCBS spring scale. has a traction range. This varies due to inconsistencies between individual Glocks. These kits will greatly improve the trigger action. The kits are built within certain tolerances to be interchangeable between Glocks of the same frame size.

Let's start with the Flat-Faced trigger shape. It is popular with combat and competition shooters, and for good reason. With its large front surface and low trigger safety, the shooter can gain maximum mechanical advantage. This gives a perceived lighter trigger feel. Another advantage is that it allows a direct back action of the trigger without unconsciously "pushing" the gun to one side or the other, as is the case with some original triggers.
Shooting at the range all day becomes much more comfortable as there is no vertical “bulge” in the middle of the trigger face to distract your finger.

Functionally, we kept the mechanical wrap that most Glock® shooters know and appreciate when carrying concealed. However, we've reduced the extra one-tap travel time to allow you to return to zero faster for a faster follow-up shot if needed.
We then fully molded the entire trigger with polymers used by Glock® for maximum reliability, durability and compatibility. All pivot pins are 17-4 stainless steel and are threaded for maximum retention when installed. The VTCT never heats up after a long training session because we haven't CNC machined any aluminum part with the usual hard coat anodizing finish. Our trigger is an insulator, not a conductor of heat. It will not rub or cause wear that would damage the frame, possibly disabling the trigger safety. Since all geometry is molded in place, there are no set screws or adjustments to fail, leaving you with a dead or "doubled" weapon. The VTCT is easily installed in minutes by a certified Glock® Armorer.
To summarize, there are very few changes you can make to your pistol that will reward the effort like the VTCT Carry Trigger. Try one, see your accuracy increase, and you won't go back. Know that it is as tough as your Glock® and will always protect you.
